Familiar Wife

The show ended with a lot of disappointment. Finally they learn to not panic & manage their kids. In the office she gets promotion & is doubtful if she should be happy or not. If he was always in the good books & liked by his seniors & yet when it came to promotion he doesn’t get it.

Suppose he had been promoted would he think of his wife? The way she waits for the celebrations would he do it? I felt he was just a representative of all the husbands around. They are never taught to appreciate their wives. Very rarely do they come across any man who is happy because his wife is doing better than him.

Just saying. But my 30 years of experience gives me this picture. Was it then mandatory to show that he gets a promotion, though late but … Well deserved? She plans a surprise party & gives him the play station that he had coveted all along! What does she like does he know?

Many things that are very personal & cannot be labeled couple trouble. But waking up before it spills over is a must. Time is the best remedy. I had asked one of my friends how she copes up with the fights? She said we have agreed to let go after 10 minutes. Both of us are so far away from our families & if we drag a fight who will look after the kids. She has twin daughters & after late pregnancy she was more worried about their future.

She had a point. I had a five years time before my younger daughter reached college but she had to shell out for the two of them, the same year! Nobody has money that can support two professional admissions the same year.

It made you think & that is the success story. I enjoyed the performances of both but felt they needed a tight script. I started watching Han Ji Min from ‘One spring Night’ & felt the glow all over. Her chemistry with Jung Hae in was excellent. The director one of my favourites, brought out the best in them.

Ji sung in ‘Kill me, Heal me’ was exceptional. His diverse persona was a notch above Hyun Bin’s in ‘Jekyll & me’ where Han Ji Min had to choose between his personalities. All too confusing!
