The world of the Married

The couple divorces but the real issue is of the child who doesn’t adjust with his parents living apart. Moreover the father has married again & has a small daughter now. His princess! Naturally living with the father is uncomfortable for him.

The counselling for 6 months doesn’t make him less angry. He has anger management issues & now he has beaten up a classmate & his parents are called. In the cyber cafe he stole a snack packet & his friend had threatened to tell his other friends.

In the neighbouring house the husband has woken up to the reality of his wife divorcing him. They do not have a child but his roving eye is the main problem. He is trying his best to make his wife rethink about abandoning him. He realises that he will not be able to live without her.

Shim Eun-woo loses her boyfriend which Kim Hee-ae manages to convince the police that she was with her husband, so the alibi is established. & falling from the rooftop was suicide. I liked her & wished she had more story of her own.

The last episode has the same pace as that seen in the first couple of episodes but the wrapping up is not so satisfactory. Although she doesn’t forgive him she invites him to dinner & coming out of the restaurant saves him from the approaching truck. Her son is displeased & runs away.

A year later he comes back to his mother who has joined the hospital & is waiting for return. It may leave space for a sequel but it could have been a better end. An adolescent who can suggest that she find someone nice, better than Dr Kim is mature enough to understand his mother. He could not forgive his father for breaking the family, but what about the tear that rolled down his cheek when he thought his father was struck by the truck?

Running away from home is never an option. His mother had ample reasons & means to run away. She did not. Once he has run away why did he expect his mother to welcome him with open arms? Which she does but that is not the point.

One who has loved & lost the husband, who she labels as her enemy but can she witness him getting hit by a vehicle. Any human will go & see how badly is he hurt. On top of it she is a renowned doctor, for her duty comes first. Due to the loose ends I was a bit unhappy with the end.

Marriage cannot be thrown away suddenly. For a woman it is a lifelong commitment. With a child it becomes a strong bond. Severing the ties is not so easy. Again it may differ from person to person. Revenge , healing is not a simple process. However deep we delve still 80-90% remains hidden to the eye. Only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches!
