Park Bo Gum wins the best actor award & his friend is not able to get his hands on ‘the rookie of the year’. He is displeased with the progressing events. His other friend simply states that it was always like this only then Bo Gummy due to lack of connections was at the receiving end & the case is reverse today.
From the privileges to be at the waiting stage is so difficult. It is always easy to climb high rather than spiral down!
At the end of the ceremony the family is together but he can’t get hold of So Dam. She is nowhere to be seen. She meets with Won Hae hyo & decides to go to a dinner with him. He can’t eat ,but can’t say no to her! The foreshadowing is getting me. Is this going to be a start to change of hearts. I sincerely hope not!
She has resigned from the salon & is venturing on her own. She also accepts her father’s help & decides at not selling her house.
Jung Ji-ah meets with Bo Gum on the sets & wants him back. He refuses. She wants to be friends at least to which he again says no. Opportunistic people are in search of new avenues. She had dumped him unceremoniously & needs no sympathy. I liked that sequence. Without mincing words it was a flat ‘No’!
The episode ended with a phone call from the police station. Charlie is no more & Bo Gum has to go there. His face shows only anxiety. Last time they met wasn’t very pleasant & yet the loss of a friend at such a time is shocking.
The episodes feel like a breeze & when they end, it is extremely unsatisfactory. Without any suspense like a “What?” at the end how they achieve the unease & the long wait, I wonder!
