It is an amazing thing that we have in our hands. I had read of Asimov complaining of the Typewriter that his fingers type slower than the thoughts that breeze through. I am amazed at the spell check too. It corrects me immediately. The drawback is that I am forming this habit of looking back as I type if the word is showing a red underline. I go on typing because I know I can get it corrected later. Knowing all my spellings will be a thing of the past!
I relish the fountain pen scribbling on the white paper more than anything, but it is easier to go on typing rather than the pen & the right slant & the angle.As letter writing became a thing of the past, writing on the notepad or having a diary will soon be passe.
More time with the blank pages & a pen in hand I like to write the thoughts or my observations. I would often write when I had time & go on with the film seen recently or an incident that piqued my curiosity. I had written exactly five full scapes on the film ‘Lajja’. I like most of the cast & the theme that tried to be objective & bring the woes of the women on the fore. But it had a very bold way of depiction & the basic point is not competing with the husbands or any male for that matter but to assert as an individual.
Women in various walk of their life faced discrimination,humiliation & made to feel like dirt.It could be better. The fabric of the society is such that people don’t realise that what they do is painful or injustice.
Once I start with a thought it then is imperative that all the aspects get covered. The pen doesn’t stop, now the fingers can’t stop till I reach my last sentence. What I liked in ‘Thappad’ is that she made a decision & also the ladies around her started thinking. Assuming it will go away, it doesn’t. What is wrong is wrong. There can be no explanation. There is no explanation.
The blogs have enabled me to be on my toes. They have given me a sense of achievement. A blog a day has made me think more, express more, live more fruitfully, completely!
