A Hindi movie devoted to the rich brat given to spending his father’s money. It is not only that but a wake-up call for all those who have lost their focus! We need to wake up early to finish work or wake up to the reality!
With ‘Sawariya’ I had lost faith in Ranbir Kapoor. He was just another star-kid in search of a name! But then there is Konkana Sen & she never disappoints. So I went for it & was amazed at the depiction. Without any melodrama or any joker side kicks it achieves so much!
Konkana is superb in ‘Mr & Mrs Aiyaar’ but here she plays the writer in search of name. Coming from Kolkata or Calcutta, her native place she is all alone in Mumbai. A single girl away from the family. She meets & then stays with this boy who is in search of his own identity.
Both reach their goal & without much tearsheding but giving us an experience of a lifetime! Not to forget Rahul Khanna as her boss who plays a pivotal role. He has done few but memorable films, this certainly is one of them!
In the hands of a capable director Ranbir is a delight to watch. Or else his ‘Sanju’ is proof of his decision gone wrong! His initial films show or showcase his potential but later he made some wrong choices. Hope he learns quickly from his mistakes & gives us good films to watch!
