Prison Playbook

How does one qualify as a murderer when the entire nation knows that the superstar did no wrong ? What is justice really? The proofs are long gone & yet the punishment to make the individual realise his folly is too harsh. On top of it the person he had had a fight with is dead. First he was brain dead & now actually dead!

The life changing event for the entire family involved the entire nation! His fans are suffering & so are the family members. The upside is that Jung Hae in is in the cell sharing with the rest of the cell mates. He had kicked hard & got himself here. Even his eyes are different from the Jung Hae in we know from ‘Something in the Rain’ or ‘One spring Night’. Its as if it was a different person altogether!

Park Hae soo in his first ever lead role has all our sympathy but I am concentrating on Jung Kyung-ho! As Park’s close friend he has to go through complex situations. He does drag him from certain sticky situations. A cardio-surgeon in ‘Hospital Playlist’ he is phenomenal but here he is so natural it feels he lives in the prison!

Choi Moo-sung as Kim Min-chul, a gang member, is the same softy that he was in ‘Reply 1988’. In the “Hospital Playlist” he again appears by his wife’s bedside for a few scenes & leaves his mark.

Jung Woong-in as Assistant chief Paeng, a fierce prison guard who likes music & protects the inmates in his own way. In ‘Love in the Moonlight’ or “Empress Ki” he is all evil.

Many characters are blick & gone but their roles are special. The two prisons have so many people making it real. Almost!
