The first in the trilogy but which I saw last has everything that we expect of it. The family consisting of two daughters & the couple doing their hattrick! The elder daughter meets with an accident & the other, our protagonist is a firebrand. Not good at academics but can write so well.

The neighbours are the two boys with their parents. The boys have lost their parents & are close to the girl’s family. The two elder siblings of the families have even thought of marriage but her accident has left only memories behind.

When the girl, Si Won gives her SAT exam, she is approached by the elder brother who confesses his feelings. The girl is shocked & gets confused. He is a teacher at their school & even the close friends don’t know of his real identity. He is a wiz with computers but has stayed close for his younger brother.

The younger brother has feelings for her but is left behind by just 10 minutes. He stays away from her for 6 years & decides to let her go. But as fate would have it, her close friend loses her dad & she visits her hometown, gets to meet the entire group. Now she asks him if he still likes her. He knows life doesn’t give second chances & yet he hesitates.

The elder brother comes to know of the situation by chance & calls him for a cup of coffee. He declares that he will not let her go. The younger brother is seen brooding & finally speaks to him. He is set to go on a date arranged by his brother. After his outburst he realises that he is with Si Won!

Seo In guk is young, vibrant & is cool in his role. Rarely have I seen the lead having his hair ruffled as he allows.Their fights were major, little wonder that he has his hair left!

Jung Eun ji as the passionate follower of the group HOT has lived her role.Caught between the two brothers her role had many shades which she brought out nicely.

Oppa Song Jong ho has a prominent role. His decisions pave the way to the success of the youngsters. At present in ‘Was it Love’ he handles the teenager Ha nee so well, showing off the university & hiding his disappointment.

Eun Ji won has a typical role where he is bold with the boys but when he confronts a girl he gets tongue tied. His journey from getting a girlfriend to declaring it to his mother was equally interesting.

The focus on only one family made it easy to go through the characters but the other two shows have more people & more complex issues to deal with. I enjoyed all three of them for different reasons.

The director Shin Won-ho needs special mention for his excellent shows. Another show of his, ‘Hospital playlist’ will be looking forward to. His ‘Prison playbook ‘ must be good too.
