A short film made in 2015 emphasising the role of organ donation. The waiting list is long always. The brain dead Sumedh is on ventilator & his mother has to say one ‘Yes’. Even for a doctor mom such a decision is so traumatic.
The best thing about this film by Sumitra Bhave & Sunil Sukthankar is the cast. Ratna Pathak Shah, Naseeruddin Shah, Siddharth Menon, Amruta Subhash,Vikram Gokhale, Uttara Baokar,Jyoti Subhash & others. The pace is perfect & so are their parts. Well written to make the impact!
What we need is to look for the message getting across. Awareness about blood donation & eye donation is widespread today but organ donation needs to be promoted. Such films will help to make people realise how important it is for the society.
Short but effective.
