Going through the clips again did not make me comfortable. The reason why I am not watching ‘While You were Sleeping’ is because I simply cannot have the heroine go over to another hero when she has Jung Hae -in with her! Also in “Reply 1988” he barely had one run in with the leading lady & I wondered why she fell for Park Bo Gum. Same for the heroine in ‘Guardian’ who chose Gong Woo over Jung Hae-in. I like both but I couldn’t accept the fact!
The reason is the same with ‘Temperature of Love’, how can she not know about Kim Jae Wook’s feelings? After a couple of episodes I have abandoned it. The most shows have Ji Soo, no one can beat him! Lets start with ‘Moon lovers’ there are too many second leads! Actually IU initially likes Kang Ha-neul, the 4th prince Lee Joon-gi is the second lead. But she is with the 14th prince, Ji -Soo in the end. A slight change in the plot for Ji_Soo who always is in the second position. Here he is with her till the end but he is caring for her & her daughter. The daughter is the child of the 4th prince.
In ‘Hwarang’ Park Hyung-sik was the second lead but in ‘Strong girl Bong-soon’ he is the much liked lead. The show is one of the best liked by the viewers till date! It has Ji -Soo who is with her from high school & likes her a lot but hesitates. He just doesn’t let her know. She also has feelings for him but with the entry of Park Hyung sik who falls for her immediately, who slowly but surely navigates through his feelings for her. Then it is very late for Ji-Soo.
In ‘Reply 1988’ the most hurting second lead is Kim Jung-hwa. Although we are happy for Park Bo Gum, the pain is so real it hurts for days. Ryu-Jun yeol has done a very good job. I wonder if I should be calling it a ‘Job’!
In ‘Reply 1994’ the lead Sung Na jung is with her brother’s friend Trash from her childhood. Somewhere the feelings change & also enters the baseball player,Chilbong. Everybody knows he likes Na Jung. But she has feelings for Trash & he is hesitant about expressing his feelings. Finally Chilbong lets her go & the moment we dread is upon us! I had to see him in lead in ‘Warm & Cozy’ to get over the hurt.
I saw Jung Jin-young in the show & remembered him from ‘Love in Moonlight’ where he is the best. The show has the prince Park Bo gum but the tiny bits that come his way are far better. Again in ‘If we were a season ‘ he comes across as the polished Seoul boy, but by then we are fixed with Jang Dong yoon, who is left behind. He played the lead with ‘Tale of Nakdo’ & played a woman to the hilt without being vulgar.
Another second lead is from,’She was Pretty’ Choi Siwon as Mr Kim is superb. Why his ‘Jackson’ fails to choose him? He has all the good qualities & a sincere declaration to boot. Hwang Jung-eum chooses her childhood friend,Park Seo joon here. In the show, ‘Kill me, Heal Me’ she had ignored him as her ‘Twin’ brother, where she is swept off her feet by the person with multiple personality disorder. Ji Sung has accessed all his personalities beautifully. Two of his own personalities trying to impress her, woo her is excellent. We feel for Se gi then!
