A short film about two friends who meet after 10 long years.Subha Rajput & Vaibhav Tatvavadi in the lead make it a worth see. Indu, a friend in the neighbourhood goes to meet her friend who has made it to the screens. He has not visited the town & has not even spoken with his mother due to the busy schedule.
Indu asks the reception to announce her arrival where she is gets the answer,”Indu? Saab ko yaad nahi hai! Woh kaha rahe hai woh kisi Indu ko nahi jante.” Nonetheless she waits there. Then the receptionist comes & tells her to proceed to his room. First only an enthusiast will go to meet. Then on getting a negative response I doubt how many people will wait. May be she was stunned & dropped on the sofa, thinking what to do next.
She had come to see him from a long distance or a short one we do not know. But she goes to his room where she is made to sit while he converses on his phone. Then he types to someone to call him while he is talking halfheartedly.” Someone from my hometown, saying she saw me on TV & also saw my latest film..” She reaches for her purse takes out an envelope but stops. She is offered juice & asked how it is. Then considering her liking for tea, tea is offered. She almost decides to go but hears his sobs & stays.
Then they spend time talking of their college days & how their other friends are doing. She remembers to give the chitthi but he does not want to read it. So she reads it for him. It is an apology by his first crush. She has realised how hard it must have been for him to be ridiculed by his friends. She had made fun of him for which she is saying sorry. “I am sending a chit with Indu please forgive me.’
Indu then takes his leave & asks him not to forget friends. She stands in the corridor very delighted. Here, he rings up his mother & tells her Indu just came. “Should I marry her?”
The story makes you think of so many possibilities. If Indu had not made the effort, then he would never have got to know about her feelings! If she had not brought up the past he would not have rung up his mother even today!!
Opportunities are to be created & seized by the brave! Even if she had planned it to happen she showed the courage to see it through! Her attempt may have been futile but she was willing to give it a try. He was fixated on the other girl & yet Indu managed to get what she wanted.
It is possible that the letter was written by Indu & not the other girl but it brought a closure long due! One visit & she was rewarded handsomely.
