Also known as ‘Viceroy’s House’ is a well made movie by Gurinder Chadha.A brief & crisp movie with stars who made it very lively. After so many years it brings in the loss, tears,the feeling of discomfort. The partition was physical but the boundaries left so many scars yet left unhealed.
The visit to the monuments in Lahore, or going to Karachi are the dreams that will be only in our hearts.Why couldn’t they find a solution to satisfy all? Why partition?? It brings in so many sad memories & I always wonder how people must have coped up with the PTS then!
When hordes go through the same pain what must be the remedy? Today due to lockdown people are again facing depression & their stress levels are high. The pandemic is rampant & no solution so far. Increasing resistance & going all the way to cope up with the unusual situation remains in our hands.
The pathos is world wide. The situation will improve but it is going to be a very slow process. Nobody had imagined such a situation! Isn’t it ironic that a disease had to bring us closer? The pain felt by people made them sympathetic towards each other. To rise above & hope for the best! 2020 is the year of hope & new beginnings, a dream of APJ Abdul Kalam, we can’t let him down!
