Anu Aggarwal was born in 1969 in New Delhi. She was named ‘Anita’ but in her modelling days she must have changed her name. One of the models famous for her height.She is best known for her works in “Aashiqui” & others.
She was a gold medalist in Sociology at Delhi University.In 1988 she worked in a Hindi serial, ‘Isi Bahane’,later she went on to work in “Aashiqui” with Rahul Roy. It became an instant hit. The songs were written first & the movie made later.It was lauded for the debutante & the music which has not lost it’s sheen even today.
In 1999,she met with an accident & was in coma for 29 days.She has no memory of her earlier life. She stays in Bangalore & is single.She practices Yoga. She is an amatuer weight lifter & has competed in various events after her accident.
‘Anusual: memoir of a girl who came back from the Dead’ by Anu Aggarwal is her story. It was published in 2015. Next editions have come out means many have read her story. She has written about her life in the book. From films,fame,glamour to the sanyasin’s life is a journey she has made in her lifetime.
