A film by Vikram Bhatt is as expected a wonderful thriller.The story is well written & directed. KK Menon as Dr Asthana brings the character to life. He is the renowned surgeon who becomes overconfident & causes the death of Ankur,a eight year boy. An intern Dr Romesh decides to fight for justice & helps Ankur’s mother.
Arjun Mathur as Dr Romesh has given an excellent performance. Tisca Chopra as Ankur’s mother is superb. When she learns her son is in coma, the shock & irrelevant talk of hers brings tears. Vishakha Singh as Dr Riya is Dr Romesh’s colleague & love interest. Paoli Dam as the lawyer Kajori Sen fights for Nandita Arora, Ankur’s mother.
Although the title is a give away, it is very interesting. A serious take on the malpractices in the medical field. How a noble profession is reduced to a business by a handful of people! Highlights the role of the responsible citizens. Dr Romesh is an intern , he is threatened that his career would be over with the expose but he stands strong! Today we need more doctors like Dr Ramesh than Dr Asthana to improve our medical facilities! Caring for the patient is becoming an extinct feature.
