From the very start the emperor is the most hated character because he had wished to kill his son as soon as he was born. But the emperor with his smile comes across as any kind hearted father on the face of earth. It remains to be seen why he had done such a hideous deed in the past.
Completing ten episodes still my opinion about him has not changed. May be further events prove me wrong. The King in ‘Queen for seven days’ was definitely deranged & moody that he could order death for just anybody! His troubled childhood cannot be held responsible for his actions. At some time in your life you need to decide the right steps. Getting everything you wish for is never going to be realised. He has the throne, three kinds, kind wife, absolute power…what else can one ask for?
The wants & the needs are never ending. The greed exceeds the good thoughts. It just wipes out everything. To aspire for the brother’s wife & harassing them so that they cannot live in peace. One of the worst crimes to be committed ever. Trying to snatch away everything from an individual that to your own half brother! Doing justice to the role given is one thing but putting across a story, that may be true , but not acceptable. I could feel that sinking feeling through out.
Their time together was so short & then continuously worrying about the future! We were worried about their future together! Which finally did not happen as expected & the long wait for a lifetime! I am not happy with this virtue. I don’t know why there is no time cap here?
I hope to see a better story with Nokdu. He being the king’s son doesn’t help. The rebellion being planned is without him. It is to depose the present king! The choice is even worse than the present, what it seems at present. The king, his son, king’s nephew all in a situation that looks sticky. But the pace is fine & the events are fast. So hoping to have a good viewing.
