Queen for seven days

An interesting name for a historical drama. It has Park Min Young & the story appears to be different. She is my favourite star of ‘What’s wrong with secretary Kim?’, ‘Her Private life’,’Healer’. Each with different story. In this show she looks young & having a youthful streak in her attitude, naughty, waiting for her prince.

It is a story of two brothers who are at war with each other due to the throne. The elder one is on the throne but ever suspicious of the younger brother. As he grows to adulthood, the king has to give it to his brother as per his father’s wish. The prince has respect for his brother & wishes to be close but the people around want them to suspect each other. The politics & the greed for the throne brings in a separation between the two brothers. The younger brother is imprisoned & later banished to a far off land where he is attacked enroute & killed.

The good friend of the prince & his would-be is hopeful that he will return. She refuses to get married to any body else. After five years he comes back. His close ones have managed to procure a body & faked his death. But the King wants him to be caught & brought in front of him. He escapes & his girlfriend is caught instead. She is in prison & a bait for him to come, walk in the trap!

Yeon Woo jin has worked in ‘Another miss Oh’ & ‘My love from the star’ but his roles have been very small. Here he gets to play the lead! His features have changed a bit with age but he is able to carry off the role with his typical style.

Lee dong gun in the King’s role is superb. He makes good use of his eyes. His height, personality work for him. I am watching him for the first time. Hwang Chan -sung has worked in ‘What’s wrong with secretary Kim?’,’My holo love’,’Suspicious partner’ no wonder I was thinking where I had seen him.

It doesn’t grip you immediately. The reason why I had been delaying watching it,but once passed the three episodes I knew now I had to finish it.
