A 2018 film where the mermaid meets Cam Harrison, a reporter in a circus. William Moseley as Cam & Poppy Drayton as Elizabeth & the niece,Elie is played by Loreto Peralta .The mermaid is captured by a magician, Locke. Cam is in search of the magical water to cure his niece.He is dragged there unwillingly. But now once there wants to find out if it is a hoax or the magical water really cures diseases!
The mermaid, Elizabeth has to follow Locke’s orders because he has her soul. She is tricked by him & now is paying the price. She has two friends in the circus who help her out eventually. Cam comes to know about her predicament & tries to help her. His niece has become a good friend of Elizabeth & wants to free her from Locke.
Their escape has much to be desired, but finally they make to the ocean without any losses. The mermaid returns back home & Cam is left with his niece. Shirley Maclaine is telling the story to her grand daughters. Her presence makes it interesting. After reading her book, ‘Out on a limb’ I have been long fascinated by her.
From the “Secret Garden” where the two leads discussed this end , back to the sea with only foam to see, was what I wanted to see once. Walt Disney films have a changed end. They are working on a new film with Halle Berry presently.
‘Legend of the blue sea’ to be made in Hindi with Ranvir Singh & Katrina Kaif in the lead. I wonder how Ranvir will play Lee Min Ho’s role! Must be an interesting watch in the future.
