While watching ‘Blood’ I came across a conversation where the lead asks from where does the blood come. The answer is “India!” because it is legal to sell blood, but illegal to import here. Where? In Korea! Of course later it is discovered that it is children’s blood & that is not acceptable etc, etc.
Moving along with the characters in the cancer hospital was like moving in a Robin Cook novel. With the title as ‘Blood’ I had never thought I would be really interested. (Due to lock down? but I do have many options!) The immunologist working hard & the viruse at large all of it is fascinating. Jung Hae in in a doctor’s role is something I would never miss.
The simple explanation regarding the vampires I found has a better chance than showing gory details. It is clean & remains thus. There is a tussle of power between the Director, Vice Chairperson & the Chairman. The love -hate between the doctors, favoured & some under the scanner also. The patients each with a cancerous growth. Their little stories along the way. So a scene of the small girl walking the aisle with her father in wheelchair !
Sister Sylvia is ill & knows her time is up. Director Lee wishes to leathen her stay but she refuses. “Don’t be God!” He denies. On which she says, “God is like a chair. When you are tired he takes care but if you long for it, he is gone!” This idea is new. I had not thought of God as a chair. Friend, guide, philosopher.. never an object ! That gives a different perspective to life. You crave & it’s lost, you try & you gain!!
Gaining more points here. Happy gains then!
