Finally finished watching ‘Crash landing..’ & happy that it had a good end. I never expected a happy end but killing either one would be too melodramatic. Nobody had to worry about money both were well off, so finding each other in Switzerland was no surprise. Why they did not think of it earlier was a mystery. But then the story would not have taken a turn in Seoul!
I was reminded of ‘Sholay’ while watching the villagers in the military camp. After the shooting the Sippy’s had donated the “Ramgarh” village to the govt. of India. It was a nice gesture. The village was self contained & covered acres. The villagers here also have been taken care of till the end. As Captain Ri is transferred his successor is welcomed in the fold. The ladies get a gift of Seri’s choice, from Seo Dan’s mother.
The romance between the second leads is nipped in the bud as he dies. Now there was no need. He could have boarded his flight & left. But that was not to happen. Dan had to see him die. In the South, the traitor dies making Captain Ri to be handcuffed & interrogated.
I especially liked that he had seen that she has only bottles of water ( & may be Soju in the fridge) but no food. He brings in a lot & also sticks the recipe on the fridge door. When he is storing the packs he visualises how she will reach up & rearranges the stuff. How thoughtful!
In his fringe or his hair turned back he looks handsome. In North Korea, South & on the slopes of the mountain in Switzerland he is unmistakable. Son ye is the same. She is so comfortable in the short dresses with full makeup & in the kitchen in Captain Ri’s house. The ‘Picky princess’ that she is at home , is totally transformed when she is with them all. She loves the company of his comrades & it shows.
Of the shows suggested to fill in the void of ‘Crash landing…’ are already seen what remains is ,’Descendents of the sun’ only. Phew, I am so delighted. Now I am gradually coming to the level of the real buffs!
Watching ‘Blood’ that is getting interesting after 9th episode & ‘the King: the eternal monarch’ not available yet. May be tomorrow. Happy watching!
