Right from when it was launched last year I knew I would be watching it sometime.The title is straightforward & that is what happens. Son Ye jin is paragliding & the rough weather carries her to North Korea. She meets with Hyun Bin who is a Captain in the army. He finds her hanging from a tree. He asks her to come down & she drops in his arms.
I remembered the scene from ‘Krish’, a simpleton who believes her to be a fairy from the skies. So Priyanka Chopra beats Son ye in finding her hero by years. The rest of the story then unfolds differently ofcourse.Krish ( Hritik Roshan) is a super hero with a typical mask.
Many tracks are moving simultaneously. First Son Ye has her own business ‘Seri’s choice’ & also has been asked by her father to continue their business. The two elder brothers & their wives are opposed to the idea. She disappears the very next day to North Korea. Second she is confronted with the Captain Ri who wanted to kill her. He is a pianist but had to give up & join army. His elder brother was killed by an unknown truck. He is on that trail. Third his fiance has returned from Russia & is going to meet him. Their meeting should be funny, I suppose.
The ladies in the neighbourhood reminded me of the bunch of ladies in ‘My husband Mr Oh’ & then in ‘When Camellia blooms’ one of them is common. She is also the one who went to inspect Captain Ri’s house. At present he is trying to help her get back.
It is a story of star crossed lovers. Now I am really scared of the end. The other pair seems to have it good but about these two.. the North Korea & South Korea may not be feasible. I appreciate the Germans who brought their wall down so amicably. The unification is constantly hinted but is seems a remote possibility.
In a scene she says,”There is an Indian saying that you may take a wrong train but arrive at the right destination!” Now I like Hyun bin, his shows have this Indian something. In the ‘Secret Garden’ the Indian summer was referred to. (As changeable or as reliable only they know. Maybe hot, as they have this very cold weather! In most of the shows they are waiting for the first snow!)
In “King: the eternal Monarch” the Prime minister Koo is getting on the nerves. She first asks Lady Noah,’How to crush his heart?’ To which the lady had replied, ‘Its winning over!’ Now she has also crossed over & met Jung Tae eun. She returns to meet the king when there is lightning & her neck burns. So the King knows she has been in the other world.
Jung Tae eun is kidnapped but she frees herself. She is exhausted when she meets Lee Gon who carries her to the palace & takes her care.He announces that she is the future Queen of Corea. They get photographed in front of the church. Their first snap together!
