It is a Kashmiri dish liked by most of the people. It has a special flavour & needs expertise. A short film in which Nasiruddin Shah is a chef. He is celebrating his 65th birth day with his family In his kitchen he is supervising the making of the dish. His wife enters the kitchen & it gets overcooked by two minutes. He laments that those ‘insignificant’ two minutes can be a life changer.
His friend arrives with his much younger girlfriend. Then the four of them start talking. The setting of the table, the decor around all have that old, ethnic feel.
The conversation around the table is the mainstay. The differences & the anxieties come out. It is not advisable to talk of unpleasant things when eating but that what happens today as time is scarce. His son arrives & gets scolded for it.
