Nasiruddin Shah recognises a lady sitting in his cafe. Her back is turned towards him. He sits opposite her & she smiles. They have parted in a cafe what..30 years ago & suddenly meet. She has been here for last one month but saw the cafe today. She says she is leaving for Nainital . Her sister lives there & she is joining a school.
The young couple is shown taking leave of each other. She is catching a flight to london & has come only to get medicines for her mother. The look on the young chap’s face is telling. Nasiruddin watches him.He suggests to cancel the ticket & find a school here. ‘Ho sakta hai na?’ ‘Refund milega kya?’;Ha ha.. they turn off the lights & close the cafe.
The same story I found in ‘Meri Mohabbat’ he is taking snaps when he suddenly comes to the counter where she is ordering. They sit & talk. Her husband has passed away, children have settled.They are meeting after 30 years. After 2 months they agree to stay together. After 3 years, she is in wheelchair & he is pushing it. Later she is gone. He is all alone now.’Milkar bichde, phir mile aur bichade, ab pata nahi kab mulakat ho..!’
