After the 12th episode it began to accelerate & came to a crescendo at the 18th. But managed to reach the 20th comfortably. Lee min ho had foretold the end as a happy end but in the earlier birth they had both died in the sea with the harpoon. She feels betrayed & when he is shot at by his brother she takes the bullet. she recovers fast but leaves for the sea to heal completely. His mother tells him of a happy end & he vows that he is going to change the end. The Mermaid will not disappear & get lost in the foam.
From the “Secret garden” I knew I had to follow this story to the end. I got it. After saying her goodbyes to all she goes to the ocean. After 3 years she comes back to find people have forgotten. She wants to leave when Min ho appears with an umbrella & just like last time in Spain, here in Seoul protects her from the snow. He has completed his education as a prosecutor is posted in countryside where he has a house near the sea. They live a quiet, simple life. The camera zooms to show them returning from the market, carrying groceries & she is carrying his child . Happy ending.
In the ‘King: the eternal monarch” she is happy when he returns to her world. The worlds are getting entwined more than what they imagined. He comes back with his bodyguard,who meets his look alike. But they go to a hotel to stay instead of living in his place as it was getting crowded. She meets Min ho & declares she loves him. She knows its fate & unaware of how much time they have together. He says’ ditto’. She drives off with a smile.
The trail of murders & the over looming past is getting closer. The Prime minister meets with Luna, Kim Go-eun’s look alike & wonders why is she denying having met her. She is getting newspapers in mail. ‘Donald trump visits North Korea’ the headline reads. Her mother denies having sent them. Jo Young & his double are so different it’s interesting. Not only his serious face but his entire attitude is different. Kang shin jae, her detective friend is up against such competition that he never imagined. He changes his beat to be with his mother.
Upon finding that King Arthur ( ie Min ho!) is back & is in a hotel goes to check himself. He goes through his pockets where he meets the unbreakable sword, Jo Young & is flabbergasted. He also remembers the news on tv & now knows that Min ho is the King of Corea. They have this knack of stopping at the right time, you keep wondering for a week!
Started with Min ho’s ‘Inheritors’. In the first episode itself he is bullied & leaves for Malibu, California. Park shin hye is introduced as a maid’s daughter. She is doing part time jobs, like washing dishes, etc. Her sister is in US & getting married so she decides to go there & give the money she has demanded. On reaching her sister takes the money & runs away. Min ho is sitting in the window of the restaurant & watching the whole drama. He helps & drops her to her sister’s place. There is no one there. She is sitting on the steps. As she starts walking along the street a car stops. Min ho asks if she would come to his place.
I had watched the titles long ago & stopped before the story began. Today I know all the characters. Kim Woo bin,Kim ji won,Park hyung -sik,Krystal Jung, Choi jin hyuk, Kang Ha neul & others. All of the known faces in a single drama! The family drama is going to be interesting now.
