I have been following clips on you tube & was intrigued by them on Asian crush. Then I found out the name & got it in bits & pieces. But what a story, makes your day. the train to Busan carries them sitting next to each other, Moon Chae won & Yoo Yeon-seok ( Neither have been this bold in any of their shows so far )
He is a sports manager & is in search of a player, Kang Chul,whom he wishes to send to America.She works in an advertising agency & is travelling to Busan for business. They spend a day together in Busan & find love. It is a 2016 drama.
Mumbai -Pune – Mumbai , a Marathi movie is 2010 release has a similar theme. With Swapnil Joshi & Mukta Barve it is one of the best films ever made. They explore the city of Pune the entire day & she has to leave by evening. Only he already knew who she was, rest of the events more or less the same. Walks, visits, bickering, flirting mildly etc. It has this beautiful song sequence & that feel good feeling.
Mood of the day has more anticipation as she has a boyfriend from ten years. ( Do I find it similar to ‘One spring night’ ) The boyfriend more like a husband …a habit. Does caring become a thing of the past? A relationship if fulfilling should not have any hiccups ? We are entirely in awe & digest everything they throw our way ,yet the point remains who will throw away a ten year old relationship ?
Yesterday saw ‘The perfect girl’ done by fresh actors & they have done an excellent job. It is a 2015 film. Teeshay Shah & Tara Alisha Berry were in the lead. They meet in Panjim. Her bus is late by an hour, they get into a conversation & go to a cafe, beach, church, return back by ferry. She leaves for Mumbai. She gives a number, but it has a digit less so they cannot connect. Fifteen years later when he is persuaded by his parents to get married he realises he has already been introduced to his perfect girl! He is presently in Bangalore & doesn’t know how to go about it when his friend helps, googles & finds she has made a name for herself.
They meet finally in a art gallery with his ceaseless efforts. She is talking to a kid. His heart sinks but it is her friend’s. The delay of years now has come to fruition. It is a smooth ride. The dialogues are woven well. The scenes come one after the other seamlessly. Two verses by Gulzar are apt in every way. A must see.
In ‘Connect’ a short story vir Das meets Saba Azad in Goa. Both experience a connect, spend time together,swim, walk,talk & he leaves with a calm mind. He writes a letter saying wherever in the world we live,this connect will help us through. A simple sweet story with being preachy.
What I wondered why did they wait for so long, yes there is a time for every thing , but fifteen years? I had the same problem with ‘Veer Jhara’ 20-22 years ? Does this delay justify? A lifetime wasted in waiting?? Presently waiting for the next show to finish. Happy viewing!
