A 2015 drama made of only 2 episodes. The story is very simple. Dan bi is a high schooler on way to her SAT exam. It rains & she misses her exam.She is sitting on a bench getting wet. She has left her umbrella on the bus. She walks into a puddle & is transported to the Joseon Kingdom, where they are praying for rain.
She is an ardent fan of historical dramas. So now everything she imagined takes place. The scenes resemble …Moon lovers, Love in the moonlight, Rookie Historian…all that we have seen. She even gifts the hair pin to remember her. She shares her instant noodles, takes selfies…what we saw in the ‘Rooftop Prince’..Finally she comes to the sea with the prince , says goodbye & takes a dip.
In the second episode. she is standing staring at the puddle when someone holds up a yellow umbrella. None other than the Prince. He is an actor. He doesn’t know her. She visits the site where the shooting is underway.She meets the other two characters.. the princess & the palace guard ( Remember the same as in ‘love in the moonlight’ ..the guard wounded & bandaging his wounds. With similar hair style.. but not Kwang dong…& the princess trying to get attention of the prince, Park bo gum ) This was formerly made into ten episodes then reduced to two, inspired from the same novel from which “love in the moonlight” is made.
‘O my ghost ‘star Kim seul ki & Yoon Doo joon from ‘Radio romance’ are in the lead. In the supporting role are Ahn Hyo seop, Jin-ki joo & others. A very light & sweet drama. More episodes means more characters, more time, so short & sweet made my day. Happy viewing!
