The secret life of my secretary

An office romance between the boss & his secretary who comes from a humble household & aspires to make it big. She is very obedient & carries out her duties faithfully. She is working for the director Kim Young & meets Kim Jaekyung, who is in a lovable role. Jaekyung is her former boss, so she knows all her mannerisms.To prevent her boss from meeting Jaekyung, the secretary Jin ki Joo meets her boss impersonating Jaekyung.

This secret does not remain a secret for long but a fall makes the boss blind to faces. He remembers his secretary because of her red cardigan & now she is his only hope.( his innate ability to read peoples faces & recognition, something that people in his office envied is now lost.)This condition is prosopagnosia aka face blindness. In another show, “My holo love” the female lead is having the same condition only it is induced by a trauma in her childhood.

His chances of becoming the CEO diminish as he is unable to recognise faces. Her being in the restaurant was to clear the confusion but because he fails to recognise her she is tempted to be “Veronica Park” to know how he treats women he dates.He is set up by his mother for this blind date. He starts developing feelings for this Veronica Park.

It has all the elements of a Typical drama but it’s different. There is an assailant who gets caught later but his story is not what we expect. his mother is only interested in getting him married & become the CEO. Then comes the part where he has to chose whom does he like? his secretary or Veronica Park,that she impersonated?

There are scenes that take your breath away so softly done.,it could have been spoilt with a lesser director. The comedy with the utmost seriousness gets to you. The other pair have very little to do but they provide the subplot. There is no triangle.Only bother is how will he get the position. Which he loses to his friend & is free to work as he likes without being the CEO.

When she gets injured he helps her to wash her hands that demo is superb. The mere act of washing hands can be so romantic! It is watch a watch.

Only sometimes he gets to see her face & the other times his face recognition is as it is. No miracle.No surprises. Yet it makes a good viewing. Happy viewing!
