I started watching the drama & had no expectations. But as the story progressed the main lead –Gong Hyo jin & Kang Ha neul –had my attention completely.The serial killer at large & The owner of her bar,Camellia also had a story.But here I am getting ahead of myself.Camellia bloom signifies a change, a season of passion or change in the atmosphere.So with the story comes change in values,concepts & new situations.
It all starts with a single mom coming to a sedentary village.A place where everyone knows everyone.They have watched you grow from childhood. Dongbaek is an orphan & now a single mother of a kid.She is pretty & selling beer.Here she comes in contact with Yoogsik,a police officer in this small town.He falls for her.If you have watched Moon Lovers & remember Prince Wook you are in for a surprise.He is not only a simpleton but goes after her even against the wishes of his mother.
Kim Ji seok is the child’s father,who ‘s married & has a baby daughter.When he knows about Pil-gu.his son –he wishes to take care of him,also help with the finances.But the mother flatly refuses help.Yoogsik is aware of the competition but is fiercely protective of Dongbaek & Pil-gu.Kim Ji seok is a star sportsman & has lots of name & fame.His new wife is a model & wants to have undivided attention of her husband who is worried about Dongbaek & Pil-gu.
The cute scenes between the lead pair are real tear jerkers.We know it can go either way.She regains her confidence & he gains love that had eluded him always.It is a2019 drama that I watched as soon as the new episode was loaded.It was last year’s highest rated mini series.The end is good.It is not rushed & all the loose ends are tied nicely.In the award function Gong Hyo jin glittered above the rest.She bagged the best actress award! Kang Ha neul got the best actor award , but he regretted not getting the best couple award.It is definitely a good watch.Happy viewing!
