I had been getting this suggestion for long finally I decided to watch it. I love Uee till date.She is a natural.The story begins with her 7 year old daughter who runs in the street to catch a small kitten.Lee seo jin is trying his friend’s new car & cames across this child.Uee rushes out & reaches in time but faints.No one is injured but due to the mob Lee takes them to a hospital from where the events unfold.
She is a poor widow with her husband’s debts to pay for hounded by the loan sharks.She is changing houses to take care of her child & keep her away from the harsh reality.Lee is a wealthy executive with a sick mother who is diagnosed with a liver condition. In search of a donor both enter into a marriage contract.When in the hospital Uee comes to know that she has a fatal disease,for her child’s security she enters this contract. She will be dying anyway so she finds this way to secure the child’s future.
Lee has a beautiful ex-girlfriend who is getting married to his brother.Now her entry in his life again makes her doubt her decision.When Uee is around she is more vicious, instead of getting back Lee starts developing feelings for Uee along with her child.The scenes where the child starts accepting him as her dad are wonderful.I have always wondered how such small children can emote so well.Uee with the child is as natural as can a bond be.
It has been ages since I saw this show but its mere mention brings tears.It is labelled as melodrama but the final scenes are nothing that I had been conditioned for. No hospital no crying relatives, no fuss.The three of them are in a park & Uee is touching the tulips.There are a host of them.Gradually tha camera pans on the flowers only & that’s it.I simply loved every thing about it.
For Uee I watched another show My husband Mr Oh–it has a careerist woman past her prime still single.Her aunt gifts her a mountain.So she goes to see where it is & meets a simpleton Oh Jak du who is happy with what he has.She makes a unusual proposal & gets him as her real husband in the end.This show had its moments but falls short when compared with the earlier one.Night lights has Uee along with others & Jung hae in! But I haven’t seen it yet.Two of the best people in a show!
Another one on my list is High society—with Uee & also Park Hyung-sik. Now that is a star cast in dreams only.More about Park Hyung- sik next. Till then happy viewing!
