One Spring Night

From the titles & the blossoms in spring it is a delight to watch.I got to watch all mint fresh episodes & a story more mature than Something in the rain. Jung Hae in is a pharmacist & dons a white coat that suits him so well.Han ji min is in the opening shot going over to her friend for a night out. There we know she already has a boyfriend! What now how will the story proceed?? It develops beautifully. It handles not only a love story but wife bashing, bonding of three sisters,a retiring professor planning his retirement & a dying relationship.

sometimes the sub-plots are overwhelming but then isn’t life? Jung Hae in has a son. His parents are taking care of his son.Jung Hae in only visits his son, he has his own place elsewhere.Han Ji min has a boyfriend of say eight years. This story takes some predictable & some not so predictable turns. The music score is superb.I listen to the OST almost daily. ‘No Direction &’ Seasons change’ are my personal fav. Rachael Yamagata has done a great job.

Han Ji min’s elder sister is thinking of divorce when she discovers that she is pregnant. She supports Han ji min’s decision to cut off ties with the boyfriend & go for Jung hae in–to follow her heart! the scene where Han ji min finally musters her courage & says I love you to Jung hae in is a directorial delight.Jung hae in gets up & walks out of the coffee shop With Han ji min in toe. He is in tears!! As a movie buff I have watched so many dramas & movie never ever have I seen such a softy. His reaction is a surprise to her too. He has been waiting for her but when actually it happens he is just not ready. He is overwhelmed by all the racing thoughts & we have a masterpiece. I also got my answer why I watch Korean dramas.

Han ji min with his little son & then his parents is so nicely done. Now I have watched her in ‘Rooftop Prince” where she has a glamorous sister–but its Han ji min with a twinkle in her eyes to watch for. I like historical dramas os that 300 years separation, undying love was all nice.there too her character is one to watch for.

I watched ‘Tune in for Love’ for Jung hae in but the satisfaction that one spring night & something in the rain give you is different I couldn’t imagine how his girlfriend forgot him in “while you were sleeping’ because in Goblin he made his rival Gong feel insecure by just being himself. He visited New york recently. His travel logs show him to be a humble person. An Indian seer also read his palm & predicted him to marry this year. Lets see if it really happens. He visited a hotel where he ordered draft beer & the waitress asked him if he was above 21. He smiled & said he was 32! Now his performance may be scripted & not his smile. He completed the mandatory military training & started with his career & what a start! Happy reading.
