My very first Chinese drama

last January I started watching The Perfect Match when my daughter introduced me to the world of netflix. The photograpy was excellent & I really thought that the main lead was a chef. The intense look on his face, the way he decorated his plates …wow. If this is acting I wanted more. Yeh Dil mange more… You can say I was hooked. If I look at it as addiction as I am one great addict but if I forget to lament over trivial matters it is a boon.I get easily involved in the plot. Here Chris Wu & Ivy Shea both are chefs but he works in a five star hotel & she works in a food stall in the night market. The striking contrast is glaring. One of her co-worker is interested in her (why I am not surprised?) but she has respect & reverence only for one person. His background story & his helpful half-brother add to the character of the main lead. All Asians value their family, friends & respect elders. This common thread binds them together. Now I have watched more than 20 Korean ,5 Chinese,7 Japanese , one Turkish, one Malaysian dramas. I have watched a lot more Pakistani dramas.English movies & dramas cannot be counted along with Marathi & Hindi. That was my staple food . Looking out for new Amitabh movie was the job then. Today times have changed & so have our tastes. We have a much wider choice now.Lets make the most of it. Enjoy!
